Adds a countdown timer, so that your potential customer will see how long a sale is going to run for.
Within Specials, in osCmax Admin. you can optionally set an expiry for items. This hack works out the time left before the expiry time is reached and displays it on the product page and optionally in a new box on the index page.

It had been quite some time since the 2.5.3 version received an update, so presented here is a snapshot from the SVN 2007 (Feb 15, 2014) development update.
I have had to manually create the update SQL file and spotted that previous updates may not have incremented the version correctly. If you are doing an update to an existing installation, then check the update text file for notes.

An infoBox to promote your Free Shipping option. Tell your customers how much they need to spend to earn Free Shipping.
Used in conjunction with the Order Total, Shipping, Free Shipping option. Default currency and required purchase amount are automatically populated. Text is defined in the main language file.
A simple add-on: One new file to add, along with the language file additions.
I originally put this together for an osCommerce 2.3.3 site, then ported it for
osCmax 2.5.x and osCmax 2.0.xx

Adds a new infoBox to your website that shows the latest Article entry in a Topic called News.
The infoBox displays the Article Title and the first 100 characters of the Abstract.
This is a simple drop-in addition. Unzip and copy the file to your /catalog/includes/boxes directory, naming it article_new.php, then add the infoBox in Admin, using the file name article_new and appending ARTICLE_NEW to the heading. The coding is straightforward and some comments are included in the file, so that it is easily adaptable to highlight other Topics and/or increase the number of displayed items.
No support is given for this addition, though please discuss on the osCmax forum

This is the final release of the 2.0.x line of osCmax e-commerce, prior to the introduction of osCmax 2.5
Although available directly from http://oscmax.com, via an SVN client, it is made available here without the .svn files, until it is officially released.

[if you use this please show your appreciation at the osCmax forum.]
Advantages over osCmax 2.0.25: bug fixes and a few of the features enhanced.
Advantages over osCmax 2.5: easier migration from osCommerce and easier to integrate osCommerce contributions.
Disadvantages: as an 'end of line' package the included feature set is now fixed and is in a maintenance/bug fix state. It is however built on a stable base, unlike the current osCmax 2.5.x, which is still very volatile in terms of development.

Ported from osCommerce, with 'Max specific instructions.
This unofficial contribution will search for orphaned images. For those unfortunate enough not to have put their images in subdirectories, it will likely be too confusing/long-winded. I was asked to do the port by a 'Max forum member and it didn't take too long, so it's presented here for anyone who cares to give it a go.
Non-osCmax-specific support will be limited, so you're better off looking to the original osC forums for this contribution version - "Remove Unused Images".
